Niamh Swindells Debuts as Key Makeup Artist at London Fashion Week AW25 for Designer BLOKE.

“This season, I had the honour of making my debut as Key Makeup Artist and Team Lead for the NS Makeup Team at London Fashion Week AW25, collaborating with the innovative designer BLOKE.

This milestone marks a significant moment in my career, as it was my first time taking on the role of Key Makeup Artist for an official calendar show at London Fashion Week.

My Foundation and Bachelor of Arts degrees have been instrumental in shaping my approach to makeup artistry. Studying fashion and creative makeup at an advanced level has sharpened my technical skills and strengthened my design instincts, allowing my creativity and precision to come together in expressive, impactful looks.

For the BLOKE AW25 collection, I felt encouraged to step outside of my usual style and challenge myself to create something truly exceptional. The collection demanded a fresh perspective, and I embraced the opportunity to craft a look that would push boundaries and complement the designer’s avant-garde vision.

Working with BLOKE was an exciting challenge. The collection was bold, daring, and designed to make a statement. The makeup needed to reflect this unique aesthetic, enhancing the collection without overshadowing it. I collaborated closely with Faith Oluwajimi, the designer, to develop a striking look that would stand out, combining creativity, technique, and our shared artistic vision.

I am incredibly proud of my team’s collaboration and execution, and I’m thrilled with the final result. Every member of the NS Makeup Team brought their skills and expertise to the table, helping us create a seamless fusion of makeup artistry and fashion.

The BLOKE AW25 collection at London Fashion Week was a career highlight for me as a makeup artist, and it was an unforgettable experience to lead my team through this extraordinary journey. I am excited for what the future holds as we continue to push the boundaries of beauty and fashion together.”
